collection SS11: matches
The collection 2011 is inspired by the work of Agnes Martin.
Known as an artist from the minimalism period her signature style is defined by a focus on
lines, grids, and fields of extremely subtle colour.
With the collection 2011 AVR tried to emphasise her style regarding the high level of
abstraction and simplicity.
Via screen printing AVR created lines and grids by the transformation of real matches into
printing motives. Woollen lines cover the fabrics and create stripped patterns.
