BA 2 group collection project. Our collection explores intimacy and ways of expressing it. We channel these themes through the world of classic wrestling and human-shaped hug-buddies, often used to relieve stress and loneliness.
Altough the goal in wrestling is not to harm the opponent, the sport is often associated with violence and exercise of power. Wrestling dummies and human-like hug-buddies create a juxtaposition which is the starting point of both our thematic and visual work. Experiences of loneliness are processed in the dynamic of the inanimate garment and the wearer.
