Processes of adornment have always allowed us to derive meaning from the world around us. As we transform and transmute, the ways in which we ground ourselves and find meaning in our world shift.

To what extent is our sense of belonging derived from the ways in which we adorn ourselves and how is this tethered to the world around us?

As we begin to take on so many new languages of bodily adornment, do we find more profound ways to express our belonging or do we become increasingly alienated?
